Documentation for using Autospool with Oce VDF ADI for AutoCAD Windows, version 1.0 Feb, 1994 This driver can be used along with the Autospool facility. The best way to implement autospooling is to set up the output port with a batch file to run before starting Windows or to insert the same commands iinto your AUTOEXEC.BAT. In the example shown below, we use the serial port COM2, set the Note: This example uses the MODE command to set the baud to 9600. Some systems will allow baud rates up to 19200. You will have to experiment to see if your system permits this higher rate. If so, remember to set the corresponding rate on the plotter control panel. The following is an example of a batch file, ASPOOL.BAT, which prepares the system for autospooling. The comments to the right of the # signs are not part of the file, but only for explanation. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- MODE COM2:9600,N,7,1 # configure the com port connected to the plotter. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Within AutoCAD: - in Configuration, task 7, "Configure Operating Parameters" * in subtask 3, specify "autospool" as the default plot file name * in subtask 4, specify the spooling directory, e.g., "E:\ACAD12\SPOOL\". The directory may vary, depending on the user's disk structure and preferences. - in Preferences, in the "Environment" screen, set the "Plotting" field to COPY %s COM2 to direct the plot to COM2 (this can be either session specific or saved in ACAD.INI) - During plotter configuration, specify "Plot to file". This may also be done during pre-plot configuration. NOTE! The protocol item on the plotter front panel must be set to CTS2 (HARDWARE on some models) when using autospool from DOS. Refer to your AutoCAD documentation for more information on Autospooling.Download Driver Pack
