Configuration Utility User's Guide" and any other technical 
documentation included with the Dell Client Configuration Utility
(DCCU).

DCCU is an application that you can use to obtain or configure BIOS 
settings. You can also restart or shut down the system or flash the 
BIOS with DCCU. This utility creates an executable that can be run as
a stand-alone package or used with software deployment tools to 
execute remotely across an enterprise.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

This section provides information about the minimum requirements for 
installing and using DCCU:

* Operating system support: Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 2000 Professional 
  (SP4), Windows XP Professional (all versions), and Windows XP (x64)
  Professional

* The administrator console requires Microsoft .NET Framework 
  1.1 or later and Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later.

INSTALLING DCCU
######################################################################


This section describes the DCCU installation:

1. Click "setup.exe." The "Welcome" screen is displayed.
2. Click "Next."
3. In the "License Agreement" screen, select, "I accept the terms in
   the license agreement" and then click "Next."
4. In the "Destination Folder" screen, select the default path for
   installation or click "Change" to select a path.
5. In the "Ready to Install the Program" screen, click "Install."
   After installing all the files, the "InstallShield Wizard 
   Completed" screen is displayed.  
6. Click "Finish."

UPGRADING DCCU
######################################################################

Upgrade is not supported in this release.  The following message is 
displayed if another version of this product is already installed:

"Another version of this product is already installed. Installation 
of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing 
version of this product, use "Add or Remove Programs" on the Control 
Panel."

UNINSTALLING DCCU
######################################################################

DCCU can be uninstalled from the Add or Remove Programs
on the Windows Control Panel.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
