Addendum G

Written: February, 2003

Following is a list of changes and fixes for the February, 2003 firmware update.

Update File Changes:

Update file names have been changed to use "enu" instead of "eng" to indicate English language.

Updates now use a revision number instead of a date to designate the version of firmware. This update is revision 4.00. When you reach the first "Y or N" prompt in the update process, type number sign (DOTS 3-4-5-6, or SHIFT+3 on the Type Lite) to show the revision number of the firmware. After installing the update, type R from the status menu to get the revision number.

Macro Changes:

Using V-CHORD or K-CHORD while recording macros no longer speaks "silence macros" or "speak macros" as the macro executes.

Toggling speech on and off within macros now works properly.

The speed of macro execution when silence macros is enabled has been improved.

A startup macro that displays the time now works correctly.

Pressing J-CHORD, SPACEBAR now executes the startup macro if it exists.

Miscellaneous Fixes:

You can now move past blank lines with the M40 when "skip blank lines" is turned off.

You can now copy read-only files from a CompactFlash card to the unit.
