Release Notes
-------------
This is v2.03 of the Stealth 3D 2000 Series Windows NT 4.0 drivers.

Installation Notes
------------------
You must have Windows NT 4.0 installed with the Standard VGA driver (640x480x16) 
before you install the Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 Series NT drivers.  If you are 
running a different graphics mode please re-configure for Standard VGA.


Installation Instructions
-------------------------
1.  Once you have confirmed that you are running in Standard VGA, place the 
    Stealth 3D 2000 Series Windows NT Driver Diskette into the floppy drive.

2.  Open the Windows NT Control Panel.

3.  Select the Display icon.

4.  Select the Settings tab.

5.  Select Display Type.

6.  Select Change.

7.  Select Have Disk.

8.  Confirm that the Driver Diskette is in A: (or you can change the drive 
    letter if the driver diskette is in another drive) and select OK.

9.  You will now be presented with a list of driver entries. Select: 

	Diamond Multimedia Systems, Inc. Stealth 3D 2000 Series

10. Select OK.

11. A "Third-party Drivers" dialog box will appear, select Yes to proceed.

12. A "Installing Driver" dialog box will appear confirming that the driver
    has been successfully installed, select OK.

13. Select Close.

14. Select Close.

15. A "System Settings Change" dialog box will appear, select Yes to restart
    the computer.  You need to restart Windows NT 4.0 for the changes to take
    place.
   
Note that the default resolution that installed is 640x480x8 60Hz.
    
From this point on, you can change your resolution/color depth by
using the Display Icon in the Control Panel.  Select the
"List All Modes" button.  This will display all resolutions and
refresh rates available.  Please use the Test option so that you
can confirm that the selected refresh rate and resolution is
supported by your monitor.

Problems Addressed
------------------
None.

Known Limitations
-----------------
- MCD feature not supported in 16-bit mode.
- No overlay support in 24-bit mode.
- In some modes, you may experience a problem while shelling to a full 
  screen DOS session during video playback.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
