I. Special Considerations
=========================
This document describes the procedure to install the SCO
UNIX driver for the AT-2400 Ethernet adapter.
Configuration of the AT-2400 is under PCI control. For most
applications, no setup other than normal installation of
the network software is necessary. To view the card's
configuration or to run Diagnostics, use the CardAssistant
setup program, SET2400.EXE.
II. Files Needed for Installation
=================================
Location of Files: \SCO\5.X
The following files will be used in this installation:

III. Installing the AT-2400 with SCO 5.x
========================================
Before you start with the installation process, make sure
that the SCO UNIX system is properly installed. Similarly,
your adapter should also be properly installed in your
machine.
1. Log into the UNIX system as supervisor (root) and enter Maintenance mode.
(Note: Make sure that the current directory is "/"
using UNIX command - pwd.)
Please follow the following steps to uncompress the package file:
> cd /tmp (and insert the floppy in the proper drive, i.e. a:)
> doscp a:/sco/5.x/vol.000 ./VOL.000.000
Now the installation directory is ready for use.
3. The following sections describe configuration of the driver.
It is suggested that you should carry out these instructions in a
singler-user environment.
Run the custom utility and select the "Install new package" option.
Select Media Type "Media Image" and type Image Directory "/tmp "
It will prompt with "ATI AT-2400 PCI 10MB Ethernet Adapter Driver
(ver 2.0.0)"
After running the custom utility and the new package is installed,
you should use the "netconfig" command to add the driver into your
system as described in step 4 below.
4. Run "netconfig". Add the desired chain.
5. When the chain has been configured, select 'q' from the
netconfig menu. and relink the kernel at the prompt.
6. To activate the adapter, you must reboot. When the system
boots, you should see the following data dispalyed among the
configuration messages:
%ethernet 0xD800-0xD81F 11 - type=100 addr=00-00-e8-xx-xx-xx
.
.
.
7. If you encounter any problems during installation,
(i.e., an error message appears on screen) call your dealer for assistance.
