This is an ASCII file called DIAGLED.TXT in the ATI 
CardAssistant \TXT\GENERAL directory. Use a text editor or  
word processor with a mono-space font such as Courier 
to print this file if needed for reference.

 LNK: Indicates the adapter is connected to a hub or switch 
      and is receiving link pulses. If the LNK light isn't 
      on, check all connections at the adapter. Make sure 
      the hub or switch is transmitting at the correct  
      speed and the drivers are loaded.

      Also, make sure you have the correct wiring 
      configuration for the adapter. On a UTP segment, a 
      few hubs and switches require a cross-over cable 
      rather than a straight-through cable. See the 
      UTP topic in the file UTP_CBL.TXT. On a thinnet
      segment, make sure cabling conforms to 10Base2 rules
      for length, node spacing and termination. See the

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
