I-MODEM INF README FILE The instructions below are valid only if the Courier-I has been updated to the 3.1.2 firmware first. If you have not updated your modem, please follow the instructions contained in the either the XMUPDATE.TXT or SDUPDATE.TXT documents. Once the modem firmware has been updated, continue following the instructions below. FEATURES: The MDMUSRCI information file allows you to select a 230,400 bps DTE speed from Windows if you have an external I-Modem AND a serial card that supports a 230,400 bps DTE rate. If you use the 230,400 bps speed selection from Windows without meeting the previous two conditions your modem will not function. Most PCs do not support a 230,400 bps DTE rate. Consult the documentation that came with your PC or interface card to determine if the 230,400 bps DTE rate is supported. Windows 95/98/ME users have the ability to install preset "Profiles" of the I-Modem using the MDMUSRCI information file. For detailed information on installing profiles please see the section "INSTALLING PROFILES UNDER WINDOWS 95/98/ME". Windows 2000 has Profiles included in the driver. So there is no need to install modem profiles .
