           Instructions for installing for the USB Storage System
------------------------------------------------------

Your USB Storage System has been designed to be easy to use and install. This
guide has been provided to help you correctly install the necessary drivers.

  ***************************************************************************
  *  1. Make sure that the IDE/ATAPI device is setting in the Master mode.  *
  *  2. External power supply is required if bus power is not enough to     *
  *     support the device.                                                 *
  ***************************************************************************

1. PC USERS

    Your USB Storage System is compatible with any PC running Windows 98/98SE
    /ME and Windows 2000/XP* that has a USB port. It installs with the normal
    Plug and Play process:

    1) Make sure that the USB Storage System is plugged into a wall outlet and
       is powered up.
    2) Copy / unzip  the drivers into a folder. C:\Drivers\
    3) Plug the USB cable into the PC.
    4) Windows will find the new hardware.
    5) When Windows asks where to find the new driver, please select C:\Drivers (or folder you create for the USB drivers) then click next.
    6) Windows will find and locate the drivers from the disk and assign the
       next available letter to the device. The drivers are now loaded.

  If the storage device in your USB Storage System is a hard disk, you must now
       partition and format the drive.

     Format your HDD with Window98, 98SE, ME
-------------------------------------------------------------------

       This is done through the use of the DOS utility FDISK. 
       (Please see your Windows documentation for more detail)
1)      Go to Start -> Run -> type in: FDISK press Enter
2)      Select disk #2
3)      Partion your drive.
4)      Format your drive.

if you are unfamiliar with procedure please refer to you computer OS manual.
       FDISK. Note that you must run FDISK before you try to format the drive
       and that you must run FDISK in a DOS window while Windows is running.

    * NOTE:This driver is not WHQL certified for WinXP.

    Format your HDD with Win2K and XP
-------------------------------------------------------------------

1 Right click at My computer, go to Manager, this will open the Computer Manager Window
2 In Computer Management left panel, double click Disk Management (under Storage Folder), this
should open a Disk Management Window on the right panel.
3 Scroll down if necessary to locate an Unformat or Unknown HD
4 Right click on the word Unknown, select Write Signature, click OK
5 Right click on the longer bar, select create partitio, then NEXT
6 Select Primary partition, click on NEXT, Then, NEXT, NEXT
7 Select Perfom a Quick Format, and Format method: NTSF or FAT32. then click NEXT.
8 Review the New HDD set-up, click Finisih Button
9 Wait for formattring procedure finished.
Congradulation ! Your Speedzter is ready to use.

2. Macintosh Users

    Your USB Storage System is compatible with any Mac running Mac OS 8.6/9.0/
    9.10 and having a USB port. Here is how you install the drivers:

    1) Place the CD-ROM you received with the USB Storage System in your CD-ROM
       drive. There is a program in the CD, A:\USB\MACOS\1.X\Install ISD 
       USB-IDE Bridge.
    2) Double click on the "Install ISD USB-IDE Bridge" icon.
    3) When the installer is finished. Restart your computer at this time.
    4) When the computer is rebooted, power up the USB Storage System and connect
       a USB cable between the USB Storage System and the computer. You can
       either connect to the computer directly or through a USB hub.
    5) If everything is installed correctly, you will see a new icon on the
       desktop that corresponds to the USB Storage System.

    The drives for your USB Storage System are now installed. You now need to
    initialize the media in the drive. To format your media:

    1) Highlight the icon for the USB Storage System.

    2) From the Finder menu located at the top of the screen, select Special,
       Erase Disk. You can select either DOS or Macintosh formatting. If you
       intend to use the device on both a PC and a Mac, select Dos formatting.
