The Hardware directory contains subfolders for a variety of board designs

ISD301AA is the development board used in the reference design.  It is designed
for ease of use in getting a design with a new device operational and is not
intended to be a production board

ISD305B is a cable based design for a generic USB 2.0 to ATA bridge.  The cable
would be used to attach an external ATA device with an IDE connector to a USB
port.

ISD310AC is a module based design for vertical mount.  This module would be used
inside an external drive enclosure.  It attaches via ribbon cable to the IDE
connector on the drive with the USB connector showing through the outside of the
enclosure.

ISD319A is a module based design for horizontal mount.  This module would be used
inside an external drive enclosure.  It attaches via ribbon cable to the IDE
connector on the drive with the USB connector showing through the outside of the
enclosure.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
