MSBATCH.INF Driver File Contents (3c90xun.zip)

;  MSBATCH.INF for Windows 95 unattended install with 3com's 3C90X family
; network interface cards. Make sure that you read README.TXT from this
;  package carefully.
;
; This is a _sample_ MSBATCH.INF that installs the MS client for NetWare
; networks and MS IPX/SPX (and optionally, the MS service for NDS in OSR2)
; only. Modify this file as needed. Refer to the Windows 95 Resource Kit
; help file (\admin\reskit\helpfile\win95rk.hlp on your Windows 95 CD) for
; more information. Select topic "Appendixes - MSBATCH.INF Parameters".
; Save yourself a lot of grief by reading "List of Documentation Errors in
; Windows 95 Resource Kit" at
;          ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/peropsys/win95/kb/Q135/8/49.txt
;
; Use this software at your own risk, no warranty of any kind.

; If you install from the network, make
; sure that you enter as much system in-
; formation as possible here. Windows
; sometimes uses to detect some devices
; properly not until the second part of
; the setup (after the first reboot) and
; then needs to copy drivers from the
; source directory. Since there is no
; network loaded at this time, this will
; cause the unattended setup to pause
; (You can safely press "Skip" in that
; case, Windows will just copy the files
; later). I've seen this in OSR2 with the
; Matrox Millennium and some ATI video
; cards. By "forcing" the correct device
; here you can work around this.
;
; Of course, you can only enter
; devices where Windows has in-built
; drivers for. For instance, to find out
; what video cards you can enter here,
; start the "Add new Hardware" wizard in
; the control panel and select "No" in
; the 2nd wizard screen (don't search for
; new hardware). Then select "Graphic
; cards" and look if there is an entry
; for the workstations' graphic con-
; troller. Then make sure that the des-
; cription you enter here exactly matches
; the text in the right pane of the hard-
; ware wizard. See the example for the
; Matrox Millennium, below (Valid only
;  for OSR2, though).
;
; Or just install the system manually for
; one time and look at the device manager
; for the correct device names.
;
; For valid options in this section, see
; the Resource Kit help file.

; ***** Begin bypass username/password request *************
;
; The following lines bypass the username/password request
; after the first reboot. See the MS Knowledge Base
;  article at
;
;   ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/peropsys/win95/kb/Q164/1/91.txt
;
; However, note that this article is erratic. You _must_
; preceed AUTO.INF by the %10%\ variable which holds the
; Windows directory since the INF installation process
; requires a full pathname. See below. If you just follow
; the MS article, the Auto-Logon will never be removed,
; you are unable to log on to the network. Also, by placing
; the call in key ...\RunOnce\Setup instead of just
; ...\RunOnce you can get rid of the manual reboot after
; setup has finished to log on to the network since the
; Autologon registry value will be automatically removed
; at the end of the second setup part.
;
; Note: AUTO.INF also removes the "The Microsoft Network-
; Installation" icon from the desktop ;-) as well as itself
; from the Windows directory and does some cleanup. See
;  README.TXT.

Download Driver Pack

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.

For more help, visit our Driver Support section for step-by-step videos on how to install drivers for every file type.
