A) Install NDIS 2 driver to the WFW 3.11
The driver named ALN310.DOS(NDIS 2) contained in the directory WFW311.
NDIS Driver Installation on Windows for Workgroups 3.11
-------------------------------------------------------
1. Run Windows by typing WIN from the DOS prompt.
2. Click the "Network Setup" icon from the Network window.
3. Select "Drivers" item from the Network Setup dialog box.
4. Select "Add Adapters" item in the Option dialog box.
5. Select "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter" when the
Install driver field appears.
6. Type destination drive and path name in your PC.
Make sure the full path of the directory (i.e. A:\WFW311)
is given.
7. Insert the Driver Diskette in your floppy drive
and press <Enter> to start the installation process.
8. When the "AcerLAN ALN-310 10/100 Base-TX Fast Ethernet Adapter Driver"
appears,click OK.
9. To select the driver type to run,click Setup in Network Drivers window.
10.From the Driver Type field,select which driver to run.
Real Mode NDIS Driver
ODI Driver
By default,the NDIS 2 driver will be installed.
11.To modify the parameters of NDIS drivers ,click Advanced...
This parameters are Slot number, Sia Mode, Data Rate ,and Tx FIFO
Threshold level.
Detailed descriptions are in the following section.
12.Follow screen instructions to complete the process.
13.Restart your computer.
B) Setup Real Mode (NDIS 2) Driver Parameters on WFW311
There are 4 parameters can be set in driver installation & reconfiguration
1. Slot number: the PCI board index, range is 16..26, default is 16.
This parameter is used to distinguish activated board
when multiple ALN-310 adapters are enabled by the
driver.
2. Sia Mode: the connection type of the LAN board,
can be selected from TP, TP_FULL_DUPLEX
and AUTODETECT, default is AUTODETECT.
3. Data Rate: for AcerLAN ALN-310 10/100 Base-TX Fast Ethernet Adapter only.
MB10 : speed is 10 Mbps,
MB100: speed is 100 Mbps.
4. Tx FIFO threshold: transmit FIFO threshold level
LW128 : threshold is 128 bytes (100Mbps), 72 bytes (10Mbps),
LW256 : threshold is 256 bytes (100Mbps), 96 bytes (10Mbps),
LW512 : threshold is 512 bytes (100Mbps), 128 bytes (10Mbps),
LW1024: threshold is 1024 bytes (100Mbps), 160 bytes (10Mbps),
FP : Disable early transmit.

C) Use the ODI driver to connect to NetWare and WFW
1. Following the same procedures as A) steps 1 to 10,
from the Driver Type field,select ODI Driver to run.
2. Follow screen instructions to complete the process.
3. Copy the ALN310.COM to windows directory.
4. Modify your AUTOEXEC.BAT file as fallowing:
(the correct directory depand on your system )

5. The NET.CFG file must has keyword " NO_ERI" in Main section when
working with TCPIP-32 protocal stack.Because the ODIHLP.EXE does
not support the Novell's ERI mechanism which causes system hangs.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
