Follow these instruction to install the information file into Windows 95 Click on START Select Settings Select Control Panel Select "Add New Hardware" Select "Next" Select "NO" to select the driver manually Select "Next" Select "Hard Disk Controllers" Select "Next" Select "Have Disk" If you received a diskette with the driver on it, put the disk in the drive and select that drive letter and hit OK If you Downloaded the driver, Browse and select the directory that you expanded the self extracting file WIN95DRV.EXE and select the file "LGE.INF" and select "OK" You should have a choice of the two following controllers cards. "GoldStar CD-ROM Controller (Acculogic Side - 2/CD)" "GoldStar CD-ROM Controller (Future Domain IDE16000)" Click on the model that you have installed Select "Next" Select "Next" Select "Finish" Windows will ask you if you want to shut down, remove the floppy Disk and select YES After the computer reboots, the drive should be present. ** If the drive is not present; Double click System under Control Panel Click the "Device Manager" tab; Click Hard Drive Controllers; Double Click GoldStar CD-ROM Controller,(either Future Domain or Acculogic) Click Resources tab and verify that the I/O ports and IRQ's settings in the resources setting box are set according to the settings on the Interface Card. Check the Conflicting Devices Llist to see what device is conflicting with the drive. If there is a conflict listed, change the Resource Setting by clicking the change setting button for each Resource Type. Input the correct Resource Setting for the model card that you have; (see below) Acculogic Side - 2/CD Future Domain IDE16000 Interrupt Request 10 10 Input/Output Range 168 - 16F 160 - 167 Input/Output Range 36E - 36E 366 - 366 Interrupt Request 15 15 Input/Output Range 170 - 177 170 - 17F Input/Output Range 376 - 376 376 - 376 Interrupt Request 11 Input/Output Range 1E8 - 1EF Input/Output Range 3EE - 3EE Interrupt Request 12 Input/Output Range 1E8 - 1EF Input/Output Range 3EE - 3EE After changing Resource Setting for each Resource Type, shut down your system and change the jumper switches on your controller to reflect the changes you have made. Start up system and drive should be present. *** If the DOS device drivers are loading in config.sys and autoexec.bat, remark the statements out to eliminate any conflicts in Windows 95.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
