Important Information

If you have not plug any device into Ultra66-1 or Ultra66-2,
problem may arise.

Promise Ultra66 Driver Setup
==============================
Microsoft Windows 98:  
  - Run Start/Settings/ControlPanel
  - Double-click System
  - Select the Device Manager tab
  - Expand the Other Devices entry
  - Select the "PCI Mass Storage controller" in list
  - Select the Properties button
  - Select the Driver tab
  - Select the Update Driver button
  - The "Update driver wizard" should now open
  - Select the next button 
  - Select the "Display a list of all the drivers in 
    a specific location, so you can select the driver you want".
  - Select the next button 
  - Select "Have Disk" button.
  - Select Browse button 
  - Browse the driver directory which have the Ultra66 Driver.
    ( CDROM:\ATA66_BX or A:\ )
  - Select the "Ultra66.inf" file and press ok.
  - Follow remaining prompts as instructed.  Close all windows and reboot.

Microsoft Windows NT4.0:
  - Run Start/Settings/ControlPanel
  - Double-click SCSI Adapters
  - Select the Devices tab
  - Select add button
  - The Install Device driver window should now open
  - Select "Have Disk" button.
  - Select Browse button 
  - Browse the driver directory.( CDROM:\ATA66_BX or A:\ )
  - Select the "Ultra66.inf" file and press ok.
  - Follow remaining prompts as instructed.  Close all windows and reboot.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
