All 223 Icons included here (32x32 pixels, 16 colors) can be used for any
Windows 9x/NT/2000/ME/XP/2003/3.1x application/game/directory/folder shortcut,
internet/URL/remote link, program group, menu item etc, or for your favorite
DOS programs/games started from custom PIF shortcuts (MS-DOS Program
Information Files) in protected Windows DOS boxes/sessions.

HINT: Some of these icons are dedicated to Lucas Arts Star Wars PC games + id
Commander Keen DOS games fans. Have fun. :)

This archive contains the single file version of my 223 icons (MYICONS.DLL),
in DLL (Dynamic Link Library) format, compressed for reduced file size and
convenience.

STEP BY STEP GUIDELINES



* To change a shortcut/link/folder icon in Windows 95/98/NT4/2000/ME/XP/2003:

1. Right-click on the Desktop, Start Menu or Explorer icon you want to
change.
2. Click Properties.
3. Select the Shortcut tab.
4. Click Change Icon.
5. Click Browse to search your drive(s) for the desired icon or icon library:
.CPL, .DLL, .EXE, .ICL, .ICO etc.
6. Highlight a file and then double-click on it to select.
If an icon library contains more than one icon, browse to the icon of your
choice, and then double-click on it to select.
7. Click OK/Apply twice to save your changes.

* To change a Program Manager group/item icon in Windows/WfWG 3.xx + NT 3.xx:

1. Click once on the Program Manager icon you want to change.
2. Click on File from the Program Manager menu.
3. Click Properties.
4. Select Change Icon.
5. Click Browse to search your drive(s) for the desired icon or icon library:
.CPL, .DLL, .EXE, .ICL, .ICO etc.
6. Highlight a file and then (double)-click on it to select.
If an icon library contains more than one icon, browse to the icon of your
choice, and then double-click on it to select.
7. Click OK twice to save your changes.

1. I have created/edited all these icons using:

* Icon Master v1.2d 16-bit 32x32 pixels 16 colors icon
creator/editor/extractor/viewer for Windows 9x/ME/3.1x, supports all popular
Windows icon formats: DLL, EXE, ICL, ICO [115 KB, nag shareware]:

2. I have converted (compressed) all these .ICO files into MYICONS.DLL using:

* IconDLL v2.0 16-bit for MS-DOS 5/6 and Windows 9x/ME/3.1x compresses up to
600 individual .ICO files (32x32 pixels 16 colors Windows icons ONLY!) into a
single .DLL library [8.5 KB, public domain]:

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
