[3] CLIENT DRIVER (For DOS environment Only)
The CLIENT DRIVER, CARDGO.EXE, is a CardBus controller enable program.
This enable program is only needed for DOS environment. You should
install the Socket and Card service in your Notebook before executing
the client driver. If you do not have the Socket or card service
program, please call your notebook vendor. The client driver will keep
resident for handling card insertion and removal events. This feature
can prevent the system from crashing when the card is removed from
socket.
To load the client driver, type
CARDGO [/INT=x][/PORT=xxx][/U][/?]
in DOS command line, or
DEVICE=[PATHNAME]CARDGO.EXE [/INT=x][/PORT=xxx][/U][/?]
in config.sys file.
where:
[/INT=x] This specifies the hardware interrupt (IRQ) where your
card will be indicated.
The valid IRQs are 3,4,5,6,9,10,11,12,15.
[/PORT=xxx] This specifies the I/O address. The valid ports are
xx00 or xx80, where xx =04~FEh.
