Introduction
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
Windows NT provides support for PC Card (PCMCIA) compatibile
systems. For this installation please print out this README.TXT
using NOTEPAD. Procede according to the instructions below. Do
not run any of the LanModem's install programs, these are
unnecessary for the NT environment.
Before inserting your LanModem PC Card, the system's PCMCIA chipset
must be enabled and functioning. The PCMCIA chipset is responsible
for controlling the systems interface for PC Cards. Please consult
the system's manual or manufacture for use with Windows NT.
Multifunction PC Cards put a heavy demand on a system's resources.
Please resolve all system conflicts, errors, and Windows NT issues
before installing the LanModem.
Running Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 1 may cause some portable
PCs to hang up on Shutdown or Restart. Please updating to Service
Pack 3.
Please have the installation media for Windows NT ready for
any file request. The following installation does require a
basic knowledge of the NT environment.
