Windows 2000, Me Introduction: ------------- This document describes the procedure to install Windows 2000 and Me driver for D-Link DGE-500T Gigabit Adapter. Location of Driver: A:\WIN2K_ME\DLKNSND5.SYS Installing driver procedure on Microsoft Windows 2000 and Me : ----------------------------------------------------- Before you start with the installation process, make sure that your adapter should be properly installed in your PCI bus slot. Executing Windows 2000/Me, it will auto-detect your system configuration and find the adapter hardware. ( If Win2000/Me does not prompt that it detects the PCI Ethernet adapter,there must be something wrong with the D-Link DGE-500T Gigabit Adapter or your system enviroment.) 1.The Wizard will ask you What do you want the wizard to do? Please choose Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver. Click 'Next', it will prompt a 'Select Network Adapter' window. 2.Click 'Have Disk'. In 'Install From Disk' window, type the following path in the combo list: A:\WIN2K_ME Click 'OK'. 3.There will show "D-Link DGE-500T Gigabit Adapter" in the 'Network Adapter' field. Click 'Next'. 4.There will show "D-Link DGE-500T Gigabit Adapter" in 'Start Device Driver Installation' window. Click 'Next'. 5.Windows 2000/Me will copy the driver and system files for the network. If there prompts a Digital Signature Not Found window, please click 'Yes' to continue the installation. 6.You will see "D-Link DGE-500T Gigabit Adapter." in the 'Network adapters' list.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
