Run VXI11_update to update the firmware in your 8065 with the 
latest release.  See the Change History below for the changes 
or fixes in this release and installation caution notes.

00.01
    1. First release

00.02
    1. Fixed the addressing in the device_local and device_remote.
        Neither command was functional in 00.01 version.
    2. Changed device_remote to leave REN on at completion.
    3. Addition of a copyright message in the binary code.
00.03
    1. Correct the handling of CommTimeout in regards to the Abort
        Channel. Prior versions failed to properly handle the case
        of no Abort Channel connection prior to CommTimeout event.
00.04
    1. Fixed Abort channel to properly return the ABORT port.
00.05
    1. Fixed ibcnt returned from ibwrt. Prior ibcnts were -1 count.
00.06
    1. Released ibcnt change that was left out of 01.05. 
	
    2. Fixed invalid rpc cmd error reporting.
00.07
    1. Fixed 8065 firmware to use a non-zero pad for itself.
    2. Updated VXI-11.dll and utilities for secondary addresses.

    1. Added Webserver and HTML pages to support browser configuration 
       of the network/GPIB settings.  This change changes all 8065 files.
       CAUTION - Record all settings before starting this installation 
       as it reverts the unit back to factory ship condition.
    2. Firmware revisions 08 and 09 skipped for this major update.
00.11 
    1. Fixed a problem with device_read function when user tried to read
       more than 1024 bytes.
00.12
    1. Adds a function to close (abort) a socket (channel) when the link count 
       goes to zero for compatibility with Agilent Connection Manager.
       Note that this capability to abort a channel is an undocumented 
       extension to the VXI-11 specification and, if enabled, can adversley 
       affect normal VXI-11 programs.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
