Sound driver installation for Windows 95/98/2000/NT4.0
1. For Windows 98:
(1). Insert the CD-ROM into the drive -enter the
\P3APA\SOUND directory on the CD-ROM and double-click SETUP.EXE.
(2). Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
(3). System will restart and auto detect some devices.
(4). If the Insert Disk dialog is displayed, please follow the message to
insert the Windows 98 CD-ROM into the CD drive, then click " OK "
button.
(5). You must restart your computer again to take new driver effect.
Notice: If your Operation System is Windows 98 first edition, please make
sure you have setup the midi output. Please follow the below steps
to setup MIDI instruments.
(1-1). Double-Click " Multimedia " icon from Start\ Setting\Control Panel
(1-2). Select " MIDI " page and select " VIA FM Synthesis " from Single
instrument field.
(1-3). Cilck " Apply " button then click " OK " button.
2. For Windows 95:
(1). Remove the "?PCI Multimedia Audio Devices" item from Start\Settings\
Control Panel\System\Device Manager\?Other devices
(2). Insert the CD-ROM into the drive -enter the \P3APA\SOUND
directory on the CD-ROM and double-click SETUP.EXE.
(3). Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
(4). System will restart and auto detect some devices.
(5). When the Insert Disk dialog is displayed, please follow the message to
insert the " Windows 95 CD-ROM " into the CD drive, then click " OK "
button.
3. For Windows NT 4.0:
(1). Install Service Pack 4 or later first.
(2). Insert the CD-ROM into the drive -enter the
\P3APA\SOUND directory on the CD-ROM and double-click SETUP.EXE.
(3). Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
(4). Restart system.
4. For Windows 2000:
(1). Insert the CD-ROM into the drive -enter the
\P3APA\SOUND directory on the CD-ROM and double-click SETUP.EXE.
(2). Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
(3). System will restart and detect sound device. Follow the prompts to complete
the installation.
(4). You must restart your computer again to take new driver effect.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
