Quieter
~~~~~~~
Following reading Acorn User a few months ago I wrote a small routine to
set the SoundBlaster emulation output volume to a level where no 'clipping'
occurs.  The SWI's to do this were detailed in that issue.
I have since extended that routine into a full utility (ie. with command-line
paramenters).  I have also include PC .BAT and .PIF files, which in
conjunction with ARMEdit (from the Aleph1 FTP site), allows the utility to be
used as a DOS command or in Windows respectfully.
Load ARMEdit before loading your PC card software then just ensure that
OSCLI.COM is in your DOS path and that Quieter is in !Boot.Library.
The PC portion of this release QUIETER.BAT and QUIETER.PIF is found in
C:\DRIVERS\3RDPARTY\QUIETER
