OPTi Windows 95/98 VGA driver installation ============================================= OPTi's Win95/98 driver installation and configuration procedure does not provide a chance to set different refresh rates. The information below should help for a successful VGA driver installation with the appropriate vertical refresh rate. Workaround: ----------- 1. In the subdirectory Refresh, a DOS utility RBMODE is provided to set the refresh rates for different resolutions. Under menu item TOOLS, select the resolutions and choose an appropriate vertical refresh rate. Please note that your monitor must be able to support the selected frequencies as well. This information may be then stored in a TSR program. Please make sure that this TSR program will be executed during Win95/98 start-up. In general it will be called in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. If the system is locked after a change to higher refresh rates, please change the vertical refresh to the next lower rate. RBMODE utility: --------------- RBMODE may be used to configure many parameters concerning CRT and LCD displays, including display modes, refresh rates and VGA Power Management.Download Driver Pack
