HAT-processor WDM driver ======================== This driver only works in Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Do not install it in any other Windows version. 1. Make sure you have logged in as administrator. To be able to complete the installation succesfully some changes must be made in the registry which require administrator access rights. 2. Copy following files to your hard disk: "Hatproc.sys" into directory C:\Winnt\System32\drivers\ "Hatproc.inf" into directory C:\Winnt\inf\ Note that by default the C:\Winnt\inf\ directory is hidden. You must make it visible by doing this: 2.1. Select "Tools" menu and "Folder Options..." item 2.2. Select "View" tab 2.3. Mark the radio button "Show hidden files and folders" 2.4. Make sure the checkbox "Hide file extensions for known file types" is NOT checked. 3. If your computer has a PC Card reader (not a HAT-box), you can now insert your HAT processor into the card reader. After a few seconds your computer will detect the new hardware and install the required driver for you. Now the installation is complete and you can run HAT. 4. To enable the HAT-box support over the serial ports you need to do these extra steps. Windows 2000: 4.1. Open "Control Panel" 4.2. Open "Add/Remove Hardware" 4.3. Choose "Add/Troubleshoot a device" 4.4. In the list choose "Add a new device" 4.5. Choose "No, I want to select..." 4.6. Choose "? Other devices" (*) 4.7. Find "Business Navigator" in the list 4.8. Choose "HAT-box support..." (*) You can use "HAT Devices" in the list if it is there. If you already have installed a HAT processor this device is shown in the list. Windows XP: 4.1. Open "Control Panel" 4.2. Open "Add Hardware" 4.3. Click "Next" 4.4. Choose "Yes, I have already connected the hardware" 4.5. Choose last item "Add a new hardware device" 4.6. Choose "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list" - click next again 4.7. Choose "Show All Devices" 4.8. Choose Manufacturer="Business Navigator" and Model="HAT-box support" 5. To disable HAT-box support do the following: Windows 2000: 5.1. Open "Control Panel" 5.2. Open "Add/Remove Hardware" 5.3. Choose "Uninstall/Unplug a device" 5.4. Choose "Uninstall a device" 5.5. Choose "HAT-box support..." 5.6. Choose "Yes, I want to uninstall this device" 6. To update an existing installation you can just copy new files (Hatproc.sys and Hatproc.inf) over the existing ones and restart your computer. Be sure, however, always to update both files at the same time. Different versions of Hatproc.sys and Hatproc.inf do not work properly together.Download Driver Pack
