HAT-processor vxd-driver
========================

This driver only works in Windows 95/98/me.
Do not install it in any other Windows version.
You will also need HAT.exe version 4.1.2 or later.

1. Copy these files to your local hard disk
 - Hatproc.vxd to the directory C:\windows\system
 - Hatproc.inf to the directory C:\windows\inf

2. Open "MS-DOS Prompt" which is located in Start/Programs menu.
 - use cd command to select the directory where the "HAT.exe"
   file is located.
 - type "HAT /instvxd"

3. Restart your computer

4. Insert your HAT-Processor
 - to a PC Card reader if your computer has one (most laptops)
 - to a HAT-box, a special adapter for the HAT-Processor

5. Try to start HAT.exe
 - if HAT starts, the installation is complete

6. Open "HAT-Processor Configuration" dialog
 - normally a shortcut to this is installed in Start/Programs/HAT.
 - the dialog can be invoked manually by typing the command
   "HAT /configvxd"
 - configure the driver to use the proper protocol and connection.
 - restart your computer

7. If you still are unable to start HAT
 - contact Business Navigator for help

Together with HAT-Processor v4 and later, this driver supports
Plug & Play installation under Windows 95/98/me.

This driver is also compatible with earlier HAT-processors.

Earlier HAT-versions (4.0.4 and earlier) required a HATP32.dll
to be present in the system. These functions are now included
in HAT.exe file, and no separate dll is needed.
