1. Save all files, close any open applications, and exit Windows.
2. Undock the HP Pavilion Notebook.
3. Disconnect peripherals and remove any PCMCIA cards.
4. Attach the AC adapter.
5. Attach the floppy drive.
CAUTION Do not unplug the AC adapter or press any keys during
the update process. Interrupting the update process
will damage the Notebook requiring a service repair.
6. Insert the update disk and press the reset button.
7. Follow the instructions on the screen. The update process
takes approximately 3 minutes.
8. When the process is complete, remove the floppy and reset
the machine.

1. Sauvegardez tous les fichiers, fermez toutes les applications ouvertes et
quittez Windows.
2. Retirez l'Pavilion Notebook du duplicateur de ports.
3. D‚connectez les p‚riph‚riques et retirez les cartes PCMCIA.

5. Connectez l'unit‚ de disquette.
ATTENTION Ne d‚branchez pas l'adaptateur secteur et
n'appuyez sur aucune touche pendant la mise … jour.
L'interruption de la mise … jour risquerait d'endommager
l'Pavilion Notebook.
6. Ins‚rez la disquette de mise … jour et appuyez sur le bouton de
r‚initialisation.
7. Suivez les instructions qui apparaissent … l'‚cran. La mise … jour dure
environ 3 minutes.
8. Une fois la mise … jour achev‚e, vous serez invit‚ … retirer la disquette
et … r‚initialiser.

auftreten, die eine Reparatur durch den Kundendienst
erfordern.
6. Legen Sie die Aktualisierungsdiskette ein, und drcken Sie die
Reset-Taste.
7. Befolgen Sie die angezeigten Anweisungen. Die Aktualisierung
dauert etwa 3 Minuten.
8. Nach Abschluá des Prozesses werden Sie aufgefordert, die
Diskette zu entnehmen und den Rechner neu zu starten.

el proceso de actualizaci¢n. Si interrumpe este proceso, se
da¤ar el Pavilion Notebook y ser necesario llevarlo al servicio de

6. Introduzca el disquete de actualizaci¢n y presione el bot¢n de
reinicializaci¢n.
7. Siga las instrucciones que aparecen en la pantalla. El proceso de
actualizaci¢n tarda aproximadamente 3 minutos.
8. Una vez completo el proceso, se le indicar que retire el disquete
y reinicialice el sistema.

1. Salvare tutti i file, chiudere tutte le applicazioni aperte ed uscire da
Windows.
2. Scollegare Pavilion Notebook.
3. Scollegare eventuali periferiche e rimuovere le schede PCMCIA.
4. Collegare l'adattatore CA.
5. Collegare l'unità disco floppy.
ATTENZIONE Non scollegare l'adattatore CA o premere tasti durante la
procedura di aggiornamento. L'interruzione di questa procedura
danneggerà Pavilion Notebook e sarà necessario richiedere
assistenza tecnica.
6. Inserire il disco di aggiornamento e premere il pulsante di ripristino.
7. Seguire le istruzioni sullo schermo. La procedura di aggiornamento
dura circa 3 minuti.
8. Una volta completata la procedura, verrà richiesto di rimuovere
il disco floppy e riavviare.

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
