Instructions for installing for the USB 2.0 Storage System

Your USB 2.0 Storage System has been designed to be easy to use and install.
This guide has been provided to help you correctly install the necessary drivers.

1. PC USERS
Your USB 2.0 Storage System is compatible with any PC running Windows 98/98SE
/ME and Windows 2000/XP* that has a USB 2.0 port. Also can plug to USB v1.1
port, but it only have USB v1.1 performance. It installs with the normal Plug
and Play process:
1) Make sure that the USB 2.0 Storage System is plugged into a wall outlet and
is powered up.
2) Place the "DRIVERS" CD into your CD-ROM drive.
3) Plug the USB 2.0 cable into the PC.
4) Windows will find the new hardware.
5) When Windows asks where to find the new driver, please select G:\ISD\USB
(G:\ is the letter of your CD-ROM driver) then click next.
6) Windows will find and locate the drivers from the disk and assign the next
available letter to the device. The drivers are now loaded. If the storage
device in your USB 2.0 Storage System is a hard disk, you must now partition
and format the drive. This is done through the use of the DOS utility FDISK.
See your Windows documentation if you are unfamiliar with FDISK. Note that
you must run FDISK before you try to format the drive and that you must run
FDISK in a DOS window while Windows is running.
* NOTE:This driver is not WHQL certified for WinXP.
2. Macintosh Users
Your USB 2.0 Storage System is compatible with any Mac running Mac OS 8.6/9.0/
9.10 and having a USB port. Here is how you install the drivers:
1) Place the CD-ROM you received with the USB 2.0 Storage System in your CD-ROM
drive. There is a program in the CD, G:\ISD\USB\MACOS\2.0\Install ISD Storage
Driver.(G:\ is the letter of your CD-ROM driver)
2) Double click on the "Install ISD Storage Driver" icon.
3) When the installer is finished. Restart your computer at this time.
4) When the computer is rebooted, power up the USB 2.0 Storage System and connect
a USB 2.0 cable between the USB 2.0 Storage System and the computer. You can
either connect to the computer directly or through a USB 2.0 hub.
5) If everything is installed correctly, you will see a new icon on the desktop
that corresponds to the USB 2.0 Storage System.
The drives for your USB 2.0 Storage System are now installed. You now need to
initialize the media in the drive. To format your media:
1) Highlight the icon for the USB 2.0 Storage System.
2) From the Finder menu located at the top of the screen, select Special, Erase
Disk. You can select either DOS or Macintosh formatting. If you intend to use
the device on both a PC and a Mac, select Dos formatting.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
