Installation of the driver onto Windows NT 3.51
===============================================

    The CNet CNF301 PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter can work with Windows NT 3.51,
    1995 final release.

    Please follow these instructions to load this driver into your Windows NT
    system:

    1.  Logon as Administrator and select the "Network" icon from the
        "Control Panel" in "Main" window.

    2.  Select the "Add Adapter..." button in "Network Settings" subwindow,
        highlight the "<Other> Requires disk from manufacturer" item in
        "Add Network Adapter" subwindow, and click "Continue" button.

    3.  Insert the diskette with the appropriate driver in drive A: or B:.

    4.  Follow the instructions appearing on screen, and select the
        appropriate drive name and path i.e. A:\WNT351 or B:\WNT351.


    5.  After pressing the "Continue" button, confirm the driver diskette
        with the message "CNet CNF301 PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter" in the "Select
        OEM Option" subwindow, set the "IRQ Level" and "I/O Port Address",
        and click the "OK"  button in the "CNet CNF301 Network Card Setup"
        subwindow.
    (Note: To avoid in conflict with hardware, change IRQ and I/O manually.)

    6.  In the "Bus Type" subwindow, set the "Bus Location" to "PCMCIA",
        and then click "OK" button.

    7.  Please check the "CNet CNF301 PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter" message in the
        "Installed Adapter Card" box of the "Network Settings" window.
        Select the protocols you need. After binding, the driver will be
        functioned.


    8.  Reboot

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
