Installation Procedure 
======================

 1. Plug the adapter into one of the Master PCI slots of your PC.

 2. Power on your PC.

 3. Open Windows NT operating system.

 4. Windows NT will searching and prompt "CNet-CNF301..." in "Found New 
    Hardware Wizard" dialog box, then click <NEXT> button.

 5. Select "Display a list of the known drivers for this device, so I can 
    choose a specify driver" from "Found New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, then
    click <NEXT> button.

 6. Select "Network Adapters" from "Select a hardware type" dialog box, and
    click <NEXT> button. 

 7. Click <Have Disk> button from "Select Network Adapter" dialog box.

 8. Insert driver disk bundled with the PC CARD  Ethernet Adapter.

 9. When Windows 2000 prompt "Insert the manufacturer's installation disk into 
    the drive", then enter the driver pathname and click the <OK> button from 
    "Install From Disk" dialog box.

10. Select your installed adapter, "CNet CNF301 PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter", then
    click the <NEXT> button from "Select Network Adapter" dialog box.
    (Note: To avoid in conflict with hardware, change IRQ and I/O manually.)

11. To complete the process, follow the instructions on the screen.

12. Restart your computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
