Windows For Workgroups 3.11 Driver
=================================

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1)   Insert CNet's CNF301 PC Card Ethernet adapter into your
     computer's Type II PC Card slot.

2)   Connect the Media Coupler to the adapter's 15-pin connector.

3)   Connect the network cable to the RJ-45 connector on the
     Media Coupler. (Refer to the User's Manual for exact instructions).

4)   If there is no CNF301 NDIS driver installed on your hard
     disk, select "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter"
     after clicking on the "Network" icon in the "Control
     Panel" window. Specify "A:\NDIS2\DOS" as the path and skip to
     Step 6.

5)   If the CNF301 NDIS driver is already installed on the hard
     disk, select "CNet CNF301 PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter" in the
     network adapter list.

6)   Make sure the sequence of command lines in the C:\CONFIG.SYS
     file is similar to the example below:

            [DEVICE=Socket Services command]
            [DEVICE=Card Services command]
            [DEVICE=resource manager]
                  :           :         :
            DEVICE=C:\COPEN\COPEN.EXE /IO=xxx /IRQ=yy
                  :           :         :
            DEVICE=C:\Windows\CNF301.DOS
                  :           :         :

7)   Exit and reboot the computer to put these changes into effect.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
