Installation Procedure
======================
Before you start with the installation process, make sure that the Novell
NetWare 386 V3.12 server is properly installed. Similarly, your adapter should
also be properly installed in your workstation.

 1. Insert the Driver Diskette into drive A: and check the contents of
    sub-directory \NETWARE\SERVER.312, It should contain the following files:

     AX88141.LAN  -*  Novell NetWare 3.12 Server Driver
     ETHERTSM.NLM
     README.TXT
     MSM.NLM
     NBI31X.NLM

 2. Copy the above files into the NetWare 386 sub-directory of your server.

    C:\COPY A:\NETWARE\SERVER.312\*.* C:\NWSERVER\*.*

 3. Run SERVER.EXE from your server. You will see a series of NetWare messages
    on the screen.

    C:\NWSERVER\SERVER.EXE

 4. Before loading the server driver, you must load MSM.NLM first and then load
    ETHERTSM.NLM.

    :LOAD C:\NWSERVER\MSM.NLM
    :LOAD C:\NWSERVER\ETHERTSM.NLM

 5. When the NetWare 386 prompt appears (indicated by a colon), load your
    server driver. Simply type:

    :LOAD [C:]\<Pathname>\AX88141 FRAME=ETHERNET_802.3 [Speed/Mode Type] <Enter>

    If you do not specify the Speed/Mode type, the default is Auto-Negotiation
    (N-WAY).

       Speed Type: LINE_SPEED=10 ..... Force to 10Mbps speed mode.
                    LINE_SPEED=100  ..... Force to 100Mbls speed mode.

    For details on how to assign this number, please check your NetWare 386
    Installation Manual.

Installation Notes:
===================

 A. If you are doing the PERFORM3 or ENDURNCE test, you'd better add the
    followings in your AUTOEXEC.NCF of the server.

      Set Immediate Purge Of Deleted Files = ON

 B. You had better add the followings in the STARTUP.NCF:

      Set reserved buffers below 16 meg 200
      Set maximum physical receive packet size = 1520
      Set minimum packet receive buffers = 150

Montherboard Compatibility
==========================
This driver follows Novell ODI Driver Specification version 3.3, the NetWare
server version 3.xx and 4.10 must be patched to work with this driver. The
NetWare server 4.11 and above do not need to be patched. The patching method is
described as below:

 1. Copy LOADER.EXE and LSWAP.EXE files to the NetWare server directory.

 2. Execute LSWAP.EXE at DOS prompt from NetWare server directory.

    Usage: LSWAP.EXE [LoaderFilePath [ServerFilePath]]
          Default LoaderFilePath = C:\NWSERVER\LOADER.EXE
          Default ServerFilePath = C:\NWSERVER\SERVER.EXE

 3. You will see a successfully patched message on the screen and get a new
    SERVER.EXE program in the Netware server directory.
