                 SeaCOM Version 2.3.17  

For complete information refer to the SEACOM.HLP file included when
doing a full installation.  To install, run SETUP.EXE from the
floppies, CD, or website download.

Whats New in Version 2.3.17:

1)  Support for 'Advanced' tab on property sheet in Win2K, allowing
    oscilator values of 1 to 20 MHz.

2)  In Win NT 4.0, modification in Advanced Ports to allow oscilator
    values of 1 to 20 MHz.

3)  Driver support for both above.

4)  bug in AddPorts from 2.3.16 fixed.

1)  InstallShield 6.2 changes the way it handles logging, and
    introduced a bug where it no longer puts back the old serial.sys
    in NT installations.  Fixed.

1)  2101 updates to avoid a crash on disconnect.

2)  Repair of registry from SeaCOM versions circa 1.28.02 is corrected.

Whats New in Version 2.3.5:

1)  Text changes in help files only, no code changes.

Whats New in Version 2.3.4:

1)  Changes in NT-only version:  Modem control signal interrupts
    and help files removed. 

2)  Help button in Control Panel fixed.

Whats New in Version 2.3.3:

1)  2.3.1 and 2.3.2 did not install correctly in Windows ME, a
    versionitis problem with IS 6.2  Fixed.

2)  Icon for control panel on Program menu fixed.

3)  The NT only version updated for specific parameters, made silent. 

Whats New in Version 2.3.2:

1)  3622 INF files are back in 2000, corrected and working.  Problem
    traced to a bad PCMCIA adapter in testing.

2)  Support for multiple IRQs for multiport ISA boards.

Whats New in Version 2.3.1:

1)  Help files for SeaLink and the Samples, otherwise a rebuild of 
    the 2.2.8 version tested for release.

1)  2101, the SeaLink +232, is working in both 98 and 2000!

    -- testing is currently showing that 3622 is NOT working with
       this and previous builds. --

1)  Windows 2K driver includes support for the 7801

2)  Windows 2K driver includes support for the Interrupt Status
    Register on multiport boards.

1)  Windows 2K driver is enhanced, diverged from the NT4.0 driver.

1)  Some incorrectly labeling of board numbers corrected.  


Whats New in Version 2.2.3:

1)  Support in the NT, Windows 95 and 98, for higher frequency oscilators,
    3.6864, 7.3728, and 14.7456 MHz.

2)  Modified WinSSD to handle baudrates up to 921 Kbaud.

3)  95 and 98 INF file support, and NT driver support, for the new cards 7203,
    7403, and 7404.

Whats New in Version 2.2.2:

1)  INF file support for the 3622 card in Windows 2000 and 98.


Whats New in Version 2.2.1:

1)  Support for Windows 2000 added via .inf files. 7801 not supported at this time.

2)  Change to WinSSD, in reporting data rates. Now calculates all bits as opposed
    to just data bits. This provides a true reflection of total throughput.

3)  New sample code and executables included.

4)  Added support for the 3602 and 3603, including RS_485 and 
    echo/no_echo.

5)  Support for multiple busses on PCI.

6)  Added support for Hardware Flow Control on-board the UART, instead
    of software, for boards with selected UARTS under NT, 95, and 98.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
