This file contains some remarks on this driver version,
including known bugs with possible workarounds, and
unsupported features.

[Driver Remarks]

[01] Because this is a bi-directional printer driver,
     the printer should be on and connected to the PC when
     installing the driver. 

[02] To get best results when using the Manual Feeder, turn Manual
     Feeding Off on the front panel of your machine.

[Driver Limitations & Workarounds]

[01] Printing colored or grayscaled fonts print black.
     Workaround: None.

[02] Due to limitations of the unidriver, the following 
     features have been accommodated at a different place:

     - Sort Copies      = Image Control
     - Graphics Quality = Graphic Resolution
     - Toner Saving     = Media
     - Edge Enhancement = Print Quality

[03] Due to the limitation of the unidriver under Windows NT 4.0,
     Custom Paper Sizes are not supported directly by the driver.

[04] Due to the limitation of the unidriver under Windows NT 4.0,
     some paper sizes have different naming than in the
     documentation.
     - F4		= F4 (Folio)
     - Foolscap		= Folio
     - 11"x17"		= Tabloid

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
