SecuEnterprise(TM) Release Version 2.0 (Parallel/USB)

SecuEnterprise is a biometric PC security package for Windows that uses fingerprint
authentication and powerful encryption tools to safeguard confidential data and prevent
unauthorized system access.

SecuEnterprise Installation
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* Parallel Port Mode Change
1. For FDP01 parallel port devices, parallel port mode must be set to either EPP
    or ECP (EPP is recommended for fastest performance). This is done by entering the
    BIOS setup before Windows starts, usually by pressing the F2 or DEL key while booting
    (refer to your computer owner's manual for details).  FDP02 parallel port devices will
    work in any parallel port mode, but EPP mode is also recommended for best results.   
2. Change the parallel port mode in the BIOS I/O device configuration settings.
3. Save and Exit.
4. Restart the computer.

* Parallel Type Connection
1. First, attach the PS/2 jack to the mouse or keyboard port respective of device - power is
    supplied to all parallel port devices via the PS/2 connection.  Next, connect the parallel
    port connector to the printer port.  Local printers or other parallel port devices may be
    connected directly to the back of the pass-through adapter to share the port.
    NOTE: For the NITGEN Hamster(tm), plug the PS/2 connector into the mouse port, then
    plug the mouse connector into the back of the pass-through PS/2 adapter.
2. Install SecuEnterprise.

* USB Type Connection
1. Connect the fingerprint device to the USB port.
2. Click NEXT when the Add New Hardware Wizard dialog appears.
3. Select the radio button "Search for the best driver for your device" and click NEXT.
4. Select the option to search the CD-ROM drive and click NEXT.  The program will locate
    the correct driver on the installation CD.  NOTE: If there are no HID drivers on your
    computer, you may be asked to insert the Windows installation CD (follow the same
    steps outlined above).
5. Insert the setup CD and click OK or NEXT to continue loading the drivers.
6. Click FINISH when prompted.
7. Install SecuEnterprise.

* SecuEnterprise Installation
1. Insert the "SecuEnterprise" installation CD.
2. Setup should start automatically. If not, double-click the icon setup.exe on the CD.
3. Click NEXT button on WELCOME dialog.
4. Click YES if you agree with Software License Agreement. If you do not agree, click NO
    to exit the installation.
5. On the DESTINATION LOCATION dialog, enter a destination folder and click NEXT.
6. Select the device type, either parallel or USB.
7. Click NEXT button on the SELECT PROGRAM FOLDER dialog.
8. Click FINISH after all files are copied to the selected program folder.

* Top Administrator Enrollment
1. Refer to the SecuEnterprise manual.

SecuEnterprise UnInstallation

To uninstall SecuEnterprise, the Top Administrator must verify his/her fingerprint.

1. Select "SecuEnterprise" from "Add/Remove Programs" in Windows CONTROL PANEL, or
    select the UNINSTALL option from program menu.
2. Click REMOVE.
3. Apply the Top Administrator's fingerprint when the fingerprint input window appears.
4. Operation will complete after fingerprint verification.

SecuEnterprise Overview
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. SecuManager (System Management Program) is the SecuEnterprise command center, and
starts automatically with Windows.  It runs for the duration of your logon session, displayed
as a blue "S" on the Windows task bar.  SecuManager allows central access to all other
SecuEnterprise features and programs.

2. SecuLogon (Windows Logon) captures live fingerprints to verify user authorization. 
Users who are not registered in the system will be rejected at logon.

3. SecuFolder (Folder Encryption) is a powerful encryption tool that binds Windows folder
and data file access to an authorized user's fingerprint.

4. SecuSaver (Screen Saver) is a screensaver program that uses fingerprint authentication
instead of passwords.

5. SecuViewer (Event Viewer Program) displays all records related to system usage, including
user management and system configuration activities.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
