* Rendition SDK - December 18, 1998 Release
*

Rendition manufactures the leading low-cost, high-performance 2D/3D graphics acceleration
chips for the mainstream personal computer market.

Rendition's graphics accelerators support software developed with the Direct3D, OpenGL,
and RRedline APIs. Our older DOS-based Speedy3D API has been depreciated.

This software development kit contains documentation, information, and sample code to help
you take advantage of Rendition hardware

THIS SDK IS FOR DEVELOPMENT PURPOSES ONLY. End users should obtain the latest drivers
from their board manufacturer. Note that board manufacturers do make modifications to
the drivers supplied by Rendition, and we can not guarantee that released drivers will
run identically to our reference drivers. We can also not guarantee that our reference
drivers will run properly on every board configuration.

Application developers should communicate directly with the board manufacturers to ensure
that their application runs on drivers and hardware that have been released to end users.

DRIVERS INCLUDED IN THIS SDK ARE PROVIDED FOR KNOWLEDGEABLE DEVELOPER USE ONLY!
End-users are warned that Rendition can not be responsible for any problems that occur
with these drivers, and will not be able to provide any support should problems occur.

*
* Overview
*

The Rendition SDK contains the following directories:

Drivers - Win95, Win98, & WinNT drivers for V1000 and V2000 based cards plus URLs
                  to board maker driver sites. (Win95 drivers are Win98 compatible)
MiniGL		- Contains MiniGl files.
OpenGL - Contains OpenGL ICD files.
Logo - Artwork and instructions for using the Rendition Ready logo.
RRedline - Contains the RRedline API SDK
RRosetta - Sample engine that uses D3D, OpenGL, and RRedline.

Please note that optimization techniques are available in the last
section of the RRedline API programming guide. These are not just for RRedline
but for OpenGL and D3D as well. Even if you are not working on a RRedline title,
please browse that section to make your title more "Rendition Ready".

The latest version of the Rendition SDK can always be found at the Rendition Online
Developer Zone (RODZ) at http://www.rendition.com/rodz/.

You will be able to download the entire SDK complete with an installer, or can download
refreshed zips of the directories that have changed. Developers are urged to check RODZ
and the Rendition Developer Forums monthly to keep an eye on announcements, bug fixes,
patches, and new releases of this SDK.
