    1. Shutdown the computer and plug the DP83815 adapter into the PCI slot.

    2. After starting Windows 98/ME, the "National Semiconductor Corp. 
       DP83815 10/100 MacPhyter3v PCI Adapter" will be detected automatically, 
       then the Update Device Driver Wizard window appears.

    3. Insert the NSC DP83815 10/100 MacPhyter3v PCI Adapter installation
       diskette into drive A, then click Next button.

    4. Windows starts to copy the NSC DP83815 driver to the user's hard disk,
       then click Finish button.

    5. Restart your computer.

    When you need to change the speed and duplex for DP83815 adapter.
    The following step will help you to finish the setting.

    
        1. Click on "Control Panel", then click on "Network".

        2. Click on the "National Semiconductor Corp. DP83815 10/100 MacPhyter3v
           PCI Adapter" selection.
           Then, click on "Properties".

        3. Click on the "Advanced" in the DP83815 adapter card window.

        4. Click on the "Network Media" property selection.

        5. Then he system will show the following selections:
            Auto Sense
            10BaseT
            10BaseT Full duplex
            100BaseTX
            100BaseTX Full duplex

           Choose the setting as you needed.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
