Driver for AKSPCCARD version 1.02 (September 14 2003)

The AKSPCCARD driver is designed for Windows XP or higher. 

Installation Instructions
=========================
1. Without connecting the PC-card to the computer, install the HASP Device Driver.
2. Connect the PC-Card to the computer.
3. Copy and store the files in a directory in your PC. 
4. From Control Panel start the System Applet.  
5. Select the "Hardware" Tab,  click on the "Device Manager" button.
6. Under the PCMCIA adapters section, right click on the "HASP 
   PCMCIA (PC-Card)" icon.
7. In the displayed menu select "Update Driver". The "Hardware Update 
   Driver" process will begin.
8. When prompted, select the "Install from a specific location (Advanced)" 
   option. Click Next.
9. In the next screen select the "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install" 
   option. Click Next.
10. Click the "Have Disk" button. Select Browse and point to the directory where you 
    stored the files. Click Ok. "HASP PCMCIA (PC-Card)" will be displayed. 
11. Click Next to finish the installation process. 

Problems Solved 
=============
TD 662:
‘Stand by’ mode on some machines resulted in protected programs being unable to 
access the PC card.

TD 663:
After booting Windows XP with two connected cards, protected programs could only 
access one of the cards and would not recognize the other card. 

TD 723:
After removing and reinserting two cards into their requisite slots, the Device Manager no 
longer recognized the cards. 

TD 724:
Under Windows XP, ‘Stand by’ mode on some machines resulted in protected programs 
being unable to access the PC card.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
