Cautions, Limitations and Restrictions
======================================

Note the following limitations when using the printer driver or
printing a document with a printer.

When the printer driver is deleted it is neccesary to restart the computer.

When Normal is selected as the Overlay Type for overlay printing, for
some form files, printing may continue after the last page.

When overlay printing with some applications, form data may not be
printed because the document sent overwrites the previous document.

When printout contains errors, change the Graphics Mode (Auto Mode
/CPDL Mode/Raster Mode) in the Graphics sheet in the Details dialog box.

Colors may change because dither patterns of some applications may
interfere with the dither patterns of the printer. If this occurs, try
printing after clicking the Compatible with Application's Color Control
check box in the Misc. sheet.

When Transparencies is selected as the Paper Type in the Paper Source
sheet, make sure that Multi-purpose Tray is selected as the Paper Source.

Resolution setting cannot be set from Microsoft Excel. Set the
resolution from the printer driver's Printer Properties.

When there is insufficient space in Temporary Domain (typically,
located in the Temp folders in the Windows folder), the printer may
print incorrectly. If this occurs, under Spooling at Host in the
Configuration sheet, select Disable, or create more space by
deleting any unnecessary files in the Temporary Domain folder.

When using TrueType fonts, characters such as symbols may print
incorrectly. If this occurs, click the Glyph Index check box in the
Misc. sheet in the Details dialog box in the Quality sheet.

Some applications may print light colors that may be hard to see. If
this occurs, change the selection in the Color Halftones or Monochrome
Halftones in the Graphics sheet in the Details dialog box in the Quality
sheet.

When Auto Mode is selected under the Graphics Mode in the Graphics
sheet in the Details dialog box in the Quality sheet, the print details
may differ page by page. (This occurs when printing is specified with
fonts that are not installed on the system.) To produce uniform print
details, select CPDL Mode or Raster Mode under the Graphics Mode.

When printing with Auto Mode specified under the Graphics Mode in the
Detials dialog box in the Quality sheet, Intel Pentium2 226MHz is
recommended for CPU. If the CPU is less than that, Auto Mode may print
slower than the CPDL Mode or Raster Mode. If this occurs, select CPDL
Mode under the Graphics Mode.

Even when Collate is specified, some applications may output correctly.
If this occurs, specify Collete in Printer Property without using Collete
function of application.
