file can be opened by clicking on the Help button in each dialog
box. After the help is displayed, press the F1 key to display an
explanation of how to use the help.

* Main sheet

The Main sheet is used to select automatic settings using print
modes for the specific type of printing. Press the Change...
button to display the properties for the print mode. Here you
can specify the print quality, color printing, and whether to
save or delete the print mode.

or reduction, print orientation, and color mode. By selecting
Custom... from Paper Size, you can specify any desired paper size.

4. Restrictions Related to Application Software

* Microsoft Word Ver. 7.0 (Microsoft Corporation)

If enlargement or reduction is specified when printing from
Version 7.0 of Microsoft Word, the document may not print at the
specified enlargement or reduction ratio. When enlargement or
reduction is not specified or when printing is carried out after
closing the Print dialog box by pressing Close, printing is
carried out at the specified paper size. When carrying out any
of the operations above, please start the program after first
doing the following: select Printers from the Settings on the
Start menu, right-click on the icon of the printer to be used,
select Set As Default, and specify the paper size under Paper
in the Properties dialog box.

* CorelDRAW Ver. 7.0 (Corel Corporation)

The printer may not print normally when the CorelDRAW Color
Profile is used in Version 7.0 of CorelDRAW. If this happens,
please set not to use the CorelDRAW Color Profile. To print
without using the CorelDRAW Color Profile, open the Print
dialog box from the CorelDRAW File menu and clear the Use
Color Profile checkbox.

* In some applications, when an enlargement or reduction ratio

enlargement or reduction ratio may have changed from the
specified ratio if the Properties dialog box is opened again.
The enlargement/reduction ratio is set with the ratio between
the specified paper size and the printer paper size. In these
cases, the document will print at the specified enlargement or
reduction ratio if it is printed immediately after setting the
ratio.

* In some applications, depending on the data, part of the text
or image to be printed cannot be printed at the default setting
of "Text" Print Mode. In these cases, either select a different
