Windows for Workgroups NDIS Driver Installation Instructions
This document contains instructions for both the NDIS 3 and
NDIS 2 network driver installation.
NDIS 3 DOS Enhanced-Mode Driver Installation Instructions
To install the NDIS 3 DOS enhanced-mode driver (ELPC575.386)
for WFW, follow these steps:
1. From the Windows menu, select Network.
2. Select Network Setup.
3. In the Network Setup dialog box, select the Networks... button.
4. Select Install Microsoft Windows Network and click OK.
5. Select the Drivers... button.
6. In the Network Adapters dialog box, click Add Adapter.
A dialog box appears, listing the supported network adapters
7. Select Unlisted Or Updated Network Adapter, and click OK.
8. Insert the LAN Installation Disk in floppy drive A, type
A:
and click OK.
9. From the list of network adapters, select
3Com Megahertz 10/100 LAN CardBus PC Card
(3CCFE575BT)and click OK.
10. To accept default configuration, in the Network
Drivers dialog box, click Close.
If prompted for network information, enter the requested information.
11. If the "SYSTEM.INI and PROTOCOL.INI have been modified"
message appears, click OK.
A message appears, prompting you to restart your PC.
12. Click Restart Computer
The network driver installation is complete.
You have network access when the PC restarts.
NDIS 3 DOS Enhanced-Mode and Real-Mode Drivers Installation Instructions
To install the NDIS 3 DOS enhanced-mode driver (ELPC575.386) and real mode
driver (ELPC575.DOS) for WFW, follow these steps:
1. Using the Windows menu, select Network.
2. Select Network Setup.
3. In the Network Setup dialog box, select the Networks... button.
4. Select Install Microsoft Windows Network and then click OK.
5. Select the Drivers... button.
6. In the Network Adapters dialog box, click Add Adapter.
A dialog box appears, listing the supported network adapters
7. Select Unlisted Or Updated Network Adapter and click OK.
8. Insert the LAN Installation Disk in floppy drive A, type:
A:
and click OK.
9. From the list of network adapters, select
3Com Megahertz 10/100 LAN CardBus PC Card (3CCFE575BT)
and click OK.
10. To accept default configuration, in the Network
Drivers dialog box, click Close.
If the I/O Base or Interrupt needs to be changed,
perform these steps:
Click Setup.
In the driver configuration box, click Advanced.
In Adapter Settings list, select I/O Base or Interrupt Channel.
Use the pull-down list at bottom to select desired value
When values are correct, click OK.
In the driver configuration box, click OK
In the Network Drivers dialog box, click Close.
In the Network Setup dialog box, click OK.
If prompted for network information, enter the requested information.
11. When the "SYSTEM.INI and PROTOCOL.INI have been modified"
message appears, click OK.
A message appears, prompting you to restart your PC.
12. Click Restart Computer
The network driver installation is complete.
You have network access when the PC restarts.

on using Microsoft for Windows networking.
Installing the 16-bit DOS Real-Mode Driver for WFW
To ensure support for WFW v3.11, 3Com includes a
16-bit NDIS 2.0 driver.
This driver offers full support for WFW, but may
affect PC performance.
To resolve this deficiency with WFW 3.11,
you may want to upgrade your
operating system.
If you installed any other network
adapter or network driver in the PC,
consult your MIS department for
further instructions.
To install the NDIS 2.0 16-bit real-mode
driver for WFW, follow these steps.
1. Using the Windows menu, select Network.
2. Select Network Setup.
3. In the Network Setup dialog box,
select the Networks... button.
4. Select Install Microsoft Windows Network
and then click OK.
5. Select the Drivers... button.
6. In the Network Adapters dialog box, click Add Adapter.
A dialog box appears, listing the supported
network adapters on the diskette.
7. From the list of network adapters, select
Unlisted Or Updated Network Adapter,
and click OK.
8. Insert the LAN Installation Disk in drive A, enter A:\NDIS2,
and click OK.
9. Select 3Com Megahertz 10/100 LAN CardBus PC Card (3CCFE575BT)
and click OK.
10. In the Network Adapters dialog box, click Close.
11. In the Network Setup dialog box, click OK.
12. If prompted, supply the requested information.
13. After you enter the information, click OK.
A message appears, prompting you to restart your PC.
14. Click Continue instead.
15. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
The driver installation is complete.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
