Fujitsu PrintPartner 10V/14V/14AV/14ADV Standard Printer Driver for Microsoft Windows 95 (English language version) Note : This is the driver for the English language version of Windows 95. Do not install this driver on a version of Windows 95 other than the English language version as this will cause printer dialog boxes to display in English rather than the language of the installed Windows 95 version. <Overview of Contents> This document explains the items listed below. Introduction File Composition Installation Guide Points to Note <Introduction> The Fujitsu PrintPartner 10V/14V/14AV/ADV printer driver (Standard) has drivers for the following models. Fujitsu PrintPartner 10V(MV) : Standard driver for 10V (MarkVision driver) Fujitsu PrintPartner 10V : Standard driver for 10V (Non-MarkVision driver) Fujitsu PrintPartner 14V/AV(MV): Standard driver for 14V/14AV (MarkVision driver) Fujitsu PrintPartner 14V/AV : Standard driver for 14V/14AV (Non-MarkVision driver) Fujitsu PrintPartner 14ADV(MV) : Standard driver for 14ADV (MarkVision driver) Fujitsu PrintPartner 14ADV : Standard driver for 14ADV (Non-MarkVision driver) When using MarkVision while printing, the MarkVision enabled driver is required. This is the driver that is normally installed. MarkVision cannot be used with the non-MarkVision driver. The non-MarkVision driver can be used to speed up printing throughput if desired. To install the non-MarkVision driver or PrintPartner 14V/AV (MV) driver, select the Add Printer Wizard in the Printers Folder and follow the instructions. <File composition> The following files are necessary for the standard driver. FJSETUP.INF Information file used for installing the printer driver. FJPPVAV.DR_ Fujitsu PrintPartner 10V/14V/14AV/14ADV printer driver module. LEXBCE.DL_ Bidirectional communication file. LEXBCELM.DL_ Bidirectional communication file for language monitor. LEXLMPM.DL_ Windows 95 language monitor. LEXSTART.EX_ Bidirectional communication startup file. ICONLIB.DLL Microsoft Universal printer driver icon library. UNIDRV.DLL Microsoft Universal printer driver library. UNIDRV.HLP Microsoft Universal printer driver help file. READMEST.TXT Contains explanation and points to note for the printer driver. <Installation Guide> The standard printer driver can be installed by either of 2 methods described below. The Plug and Play function can install these 2 models ; Fujitsu PrintPartner 14ADV(MV) or Fujitsu PrintPartner 10V(MV). The Set-up from Printers folder can install all models. (1)Plug and Play printer detection. (a)Windows 95 automatically detects the printer at installation time or during the boot process. (b)Plug and Play detection code will prompt the user for the appropriate files if they are not resident in the Windows directory, by displaying the "New Hardware Found" dialog box. (c)From the "New Hardware Found" dialog box select the option "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer" and click the "OK" push-button. (d)The "Install from disk" dialog box is displayed prompting the user to select the drive and directory containing the installation disk. (e)Insert the printer driver installation disk into the A: drive, type "A:\" and click "OK". (f)The "Select Device" dialog box appears displaying the model name "Fujitsu PrintPartner 14ADV(MV)" or "Fujitsu PrintPartner 10V(MV)". Click "OK" to continue. (g)A dialog appears prompting the user to type the printer name. Type an appropriate name or use the one supplied and click "Next>". (h)The next dialog prompts the user to print a test page. Select "Yes" or "No" and click "Finish". (i)Driver files are copied from the installation disk. (j)When all files have been copied and the driver is installed a dialog appears querying the result of test page printout. Depending on whether the test page was printed correctly or not click "Yes" or "No". The Fujitsu PrintPartner 14ADV(MV) or PrintPartner 10V(MV) Windows 95 printer driver is now installed. (2)Set-up from Printers folder. (a)Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Printers. (b)Double-click Add Printer. (c)The Add Printer Wizard appears. Click "Next>". (d)Click "Have Disk" from the next dialog and the "Install from disk" dialog box is displayed prompting the user to select the drive and directory containing the installation disk. (e)Insert the printer driver installation disk into the A: drive, type "A:\" and click "OK". (f)A dialog box appears displaying the model names. Select the model name which you will use, and click "Next>" to continue. (g)A list of available ports appears. Select an appropriate port and click "Next>". (h)A dialog appears prompting the user to type the printer name. Type an appropriate name or use the one supplied and click "Next>". (i)The next dialog prompts the user to print a test page. Select "Yes" or "No" and click "Finish". (j)Driver files are copied from the installation disk. (k)When all files have been copied and the driver is installed a dialog appears querying the result of test page printout. Depending on whether the test page was printed correctly or not click "Yes" or "No". The Fujitsu PrintPartner 10V, PrintPartner 10V(MV), PrintPartner 14V/AV, PrintPartner 14V/AV(MV), PrintPartner 14ADV or PrintPartner 14ADV(MV) Windows 95 printer driver is now installed. <Points to Note> (1)110, 921600 Baud rates are not supported by PrintPartner 10V/14V/14AV/14ADV and should not be selected when using the serial port. (2)Vector Graphics is used as the default Graphics Mode for this driver. If problems occur when printing graphics, please switch to Raster Graphics. (3)When setting the printer memory option ("Device Options"--> "Printer memory") this driver only supports settings upto 64MB. If more than 64MB are installed in the printer (resident+64MB module) please set this setting to 64MB. (4)When using Duplex printing : (PrintPartner 14ADV) When the front page and back page settings, such as paper source, paper size or print direction, are the same, the printer will print according to example #1. When any of these settings are different the printer will print according to example #2. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
