PLUG & PLAY INSTALLATION
1. Install the Plug & play Modem in an available expansion slot in your
computer. Refer to your computer user's manual for instructions on
removing the computer cover and installing an add-in device. Turn
on your computer.
2. Place the Plug & Play installation disk in floppy drive A or B, and
change to the floppy drive DOS prompt by typing "a:" or "b:".
Type "install" and select the Quick install option. Follow the
screen instructions.
HOW TO CUSTOMIZE SIERRA PNP INSTALLATION ( SPNP ).
1. Reconige your's device type from the list of vendor ID provided by
VENDID.DAT.
SSC0000 : V32BIS MODEM WAVE FAX SPEAKER PHONE
SSC0001 : QUARTET COMBO: MODEM WAVE FAX SPEAKER PHONE SOUND BLASTER
SSC0006 : IQUARTET: QUARTET + ENHANCE IDE
SSC0100 : V34BIS MODEM WAVE FAX SPEAKER PHONE
2. You can either modify a line which has a modem of your type or add in a
new line ( Recommend this one ) by doing following:
Put your vendor ID at the beginning of a line, then the Sierra compatible
vendor ID, uses comma as a separator.
For example:
your vendor ID : BRI0A49 (V32BIS MODEM WAVE FAX SPEAKER PHONE).
Add a new line as below to VENDID.DAT:
BRI0A49,SSC0000
3. VENDID.DAT allows maximum of 15 lines. Delete some lines if it is not use.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
