Release Notes

Major New Features for this version:

1. Windows Me compatible.

2. Able to create VCD's from additional CD types:
   CD-ROM, CD-Audio, DVD-ROM(data mode), Video-CD, Photo-CD, 
   MixedMode-CD.

3. Diablo II is now supported.    
    
4. More Intelligent interface provided.
   Drag-and-Drop to add new VCDs.
   Drag-and-Drop to insert/eject VCDs from Virtual Drive.
   For different CD types supported, using the "Build VCD" button.
     Virtual Drive will build correspondent VCD image file according
     to CD type detected.

5. Customized CD-ROM now can support up to 1GB with the following
   limitations:
   total number of files:  32767 
   max. directory levels:  15  (Ref. ISO 9002 standard)
   max. length of path and file name: 128 bytes  (ISO 9660 standard)
   
6. New Italian version supported for V6.0

   Now Multi language support for this version includes:
     1. English
     2. Chinese (Tanditional and Simplified versions)
     3. Japanese
     4. French
     5. Germany (Partial translation, some in English)
     6. Italian 

    The setup program determines the language of your system, and
    will install the corresponding language with Virtual Drive 95/98/Me.

7. MixedMode-CD is now supported.
   For old versions Virtual Drive, some CD titles are protected by 
   using MixedMode-CD. and even though Virtual Drive could be used with
   these titles, sometimes the background music was lost. Now the 
   background music is available; however there are some limitations, 
   depends on CD title: some Titles need to be used on first CD drive
   for background sound to be available.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

• Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

• If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

• Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

• Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

• Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

• From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

• Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
