Axiohm A794 Minidriver Installation File for Windows 95/98 1. Unzip the file *.ZIP file to a directory. Two files constitute the driver: A794.DRV and OEMSETUP.INF. You might also need UNIDRV.DLL, ICONLIB.DLL, and UNIDRV.HLP; these can be found on the Windows 95/98 CD that came with your PC. 2. Install this driver by double clicking on 'Add Printer' from the Printers folder. 3. Advance to the installation wizard screen that shows a list of Manufacturers and a list of Printers. Click the 'Have Disk' button. 4. Fill in the path to the files you created in Step 1 in the box below the caption 'Copy manufacturer's files from:' and hit Enter. 5. Choose the printer model to suit your needs: "Axiohm A794 Partial" - Partial cut, no cash drawer pulse "Axiohm A794 Full" - Full cut, no cash drawer pulse "Axiohm A794 CD #1 Partial" - Partial cut, cash drawer #1 pulse "Axiohm A794 CD #1 Full" - Full cut, cash drawer #1 pulse "Axiohm A794 CD #2 Partial" - Partial cut, cash drawer #2 pulse "Axiohm A794 CD #2 Full" - Full cut, cash drawer #2 pulse "Axiohm A794 COMP Partial" - Partial cut, for use with the Axiohm Complete Driver "Axiohm A794 COMP Full" - Full cut, for use with the Axiohm Complete Driver Notes: If you attempt to print a test page, it won't look too good. If you get anything recognizable, take it as a sign that the installation was a success. Please configure the printer for A794 Native Emulation when using this driver. This printer now supports a 'control' font. Select this font and put the following alone (without the single quotes) on a line: 'A' = Open cash drawer #1 'B' = Open cash drawer #2 'C' = Full cut of the receipt (the A794 only supports partial cut) 'D' = Partial cut of the receipt 'E' = Feed the paper above the tear bar. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
