Installing HCF Generic Modem on WinME A. Extract generic modem driver: 1. After downloaded the HCF generic driver for Win ME, extract the driver by double click on the Winme.exe file. B. Upgrading your current modem driver: 1. Double click on the HXFsetup.exe file inside "c:\HCF Modem". If the "Add new hardware wizard" asks for the location of the driver, follow the steps below. 2. Select "Specify the location of the driver (Advanced)" and click Next. 3. Select "Specify a location" and type "C:\HCF Modem" and Click Next. 4. Make sure the device name is called "Generic PCI Modem Enumerator" and click Next. 5. Click Finish when the installation is completed.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
