[ New features.]

 1. OSD
   HD-TV On screen display about input mode, channel, signal strength etc.

 2. HD visual control(Contrast/Brightness/Saturation).
   The application can control contrast/brightness/Saturation of the HD output of HiPix card.
   The buttons are located in set-up menu.

 3. Dynamic File Searching
   In the file mode, when the file playing reaches to the end of the last file 
   in the indexed files, driver code searches 160 more files.
   When some played files are deleted, driver code can detect and update
   the list of the file playing.
   This function is for the user who is using the digital camcoder as a
   backup device for the HD stream.

 4. Add an option to check disk space in the record form.

1. System Requirements

 - PC with Pentium II (or compatible) 333MHz or higher.
 - Microsoft Windows 98SE, Windows ME or Windows 2000 OS software disc.
   Note: (OS software must be installed on the PC, and you will 
          need the OS software install disc to successfully install 
          the HiPix DTV-200 drivers and application software)
 - 64 MB available memory.
 - 2 GB available disc space.
 - Available PCI socket
 - Available I/O expansion slot.
 - Serial (COM1) port on PC must be available for IR Remote Control.

2. Installation

 - Please reference the user's manual in the installation CR-ROM for 
   the first installation.

 - How to upgrade the HiPix software ?

	Note : The application and driver should be upgraded at the same time.
	If you use the different version for each application and driver,
	there may be many problem on operation.

	Note : The upgrade time of application is independent on the upgrading time of driver.
	But you should make sure the version of application and driver should be same before run
	the application.

	Application upgrade
	-------------------

	Just remove old version software using [Start]->[Settings]->[Control Panel]->
	[Add/Remove Programs]->[HiPix DTV-200 ...] with an option "Remove All" if ask you the remove option.
	At some times, Windows prompts a message box at the end of remove procedure.
	The message recommend reboot PC to complete uninstallation of software.
	If you see the message, you should reboot PC. If you install new application without the 
	reboot of PC, you may see the error message while installing new application.

	And run new setup.exe in the application directory that you have downloaded or had.

	Driver upgrade
	--------------

	There are little bit different things in updating driver, but the concept is simple.
	Please do following steps.

	6(WinME Only). -> [Update Device Driver Wizard]{Next}{Specify the location of the driver(Advanced}
	7. -> [Update Device Driver Wizard]{Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, 
	      so you can select the driver you want}{Next}
	8. -> [Update Device Driver Wizard]{Have Disk}
	9. -> [Install From Disk]{Browse} -> [File Open]  <<== you should find the new driver directory and select correct INF file.

	10. Other steps may ask whether you want to keep some files in the hard disk and you should select "No".

3-2. Adding new display format.

	Normal, Letterbox, Cropped, Fill, Cropped & letterbox

3-3. Adding Weekly and Daily Recording.

3-4. Playback of the Non-Linear Files.

	Customer can delete a few files randomly from the saved directory.
	The limit of non-linear file index is 162. So customer can play indexed files
	like as aa.ts.0000 -> aa.ts.0162 -> aa.ts.0324 at the worst case.

3-5. Pause/Resume in record mode.

	To skip the commercials.

3-6. Adding the control button for playing file.

	PAUSE, STOP, PLAY and JUMP (Direct jump, 15 and 60 seconds forward/backward jump)
	And when customer is going to jump to some position, the time-display 
	reflects the current mouse pointer position in the slider.
  
3-7. Improve the recording procedure

	The HiPix uses as default filename for recording ATSC broadcasting.
	So we can record ATSC broadcasting without setting recording filename.
		
3-8. Reducing mode-changing delay between FILE and ATSC mode.

	The changing delay improved from 5 sec. to 0.5 sec.
	We modified the structure of internal capture driver, so that 
	there is no reconfiguration of board while you change the mode
	between FILE and ATSC.
	
3-9. Hibernation.

	When system goes to sleep mode, HiPix is closed until system is restarted.
	
3-10. Storing the recording list.

	When you power off the HiPix application or put your computer to sleep,
	it saves the recording list, wake up at scheduled time, 
	and start to record the scheduled event.
	
3-11. Improving lockup problem.

	We did figure out the leak of Windows's resource in our driver code and
	fixed the problem that makes PC hang.

3-12. Display the selected program repeatedly in file mode

	Customer may use their PC with HiPix card as server which display HDTV show
	for 24 hours. 

3-13. More easy way to setup application.

	We are using different way to setup application.
	
3-14. Signal Strength Display.

3-15. Disabling the use of remote control as a default condition.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
