OS2.TXT Driver File Contents (10BT2-N.exe)

OS/2 Installation

Some versions of OS/2 come supplied with PCMCIA card software.
The software supplied by IBM with these versions cannot
recognise PCMCIA cards other than modems.

The following steps will get your LAN Card working with OS/2:

1. Remove the following drivers from your OS/2 CONFIG.SYS
   file

   basedev=pcmcia.sys
   device=c:\os2\msdos\vpcmcia.sys
   device=c:\os2\boot\autodrv.sys c:\os2\autodrv.ini
   basedev=ibm2***.sys /s0=y

2. Copy the program EIGEROS2.OS2 from the supplied drivers
   disk (OS2 sub-directory) to your OS/2 boot directory on
   your hard disk.

   e.g. copy a:\os2\EIGEROS2.os2 c:\os2\boot\.

3. Add the following line to the OS/2 CONFIG.SYS file before
   the Netware requester lines or other LAN drivers.

   device=c:\os2\boot\EIGEROS2.os2 /irq x /io y /mem z

This installation procedure has been tested on an Intel based
PCMCIA controller under OS/2 Version 2.1 and Warp.
