This readme.txt describes how to install the DVD Software.

 The procedures for installing the DVD Software are the same for Windows 95 and 
Windows 98. Follow the steps below for either operating system:

1. Turn on the power. When you turn on the power, Windows may automatically 
   detect the new hardware and display the message PCI Multimedia Device. If 
   the message is displayed, continue with the following steps. If it is not
   displayed go to step 2.
	
	1)Insert DVD Soft Setup Disk 1/2 into the diskette drive.
	2)Follow the on-screen instructions to install the DVD Decoder Board driver.
	3)Go to step 4.

2. If the message PCI Multimedia Device is not displayed when you turn on the 
   power, follow the steps as below.

	1)Click Start, point to Settings and click Control Panel.
	2)In the Control Panel, double-click the System icon to display the System
	  Properties window.
	3)In the System Properties window click the Device Manager tab.
	4)Double-click Toshiba DVD Decoder Board Ver2.1 listed under the Sound,
	  video and game controllers item. (If it is not listed, skip to step 3.)
	5)Click the Driver tab and click the Update Driver button.
	6)Go to step 4.

3. If Toshiba DVD Decoder Board Ver2.1 is not listed under the Sound, video and
   game controllers item in the Device Manager, follow the steps as bellow.

	1)Double-click Other Devices.
	2)Seletet PCI Multimedia Device and remove it.
	3)Click the Refresh button and select PCI Multimedia Devie to reinstall it.
	4)Insert DVD Soft Setup Disk 1/2 and follow the on-screen instructions to
	  install the DVD Decoder Board driver.
	5)Follow the on-screen instructions to install the DVD Decoder Board driver.
	6)Go to Step 4.

4. After installing the DVD driver, then follow the steps as bellow.

	1)After Windows restarts, insert DVD Soft Setup Disk 1/2.
	2)Run Setup from the diskkette and bellow the on-screen instructions.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
