A2D Support Files - Version 3.12

This ZIP file contains 2 files along with this Readme:

A2D.INF		03/06/00  03:12	   3.12
A3DAPI.DLL	03/06/00  03:12	   3.12


They are required for non-A3D cards to utilize applications that have been written 
to take advantage of A3D 3.0's A2D component.


INSTALLATION

Running the A2DDRIVERSxxx.EXE file will install the drivers automatically.  If
you need to install these updated files manually for some reason, right click 
on the A2D.INF file and choose Install.  This will copy the A3DAPI.DLL file
to the Windows System folder, as well as enter some information into your 
Registry.

A2D was designed to work on any sound card.  We have tested A2D on the following:

	* Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! series
	* Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16
	* Creative Labs Sound Blaster AWE32
	* Creative Labs Sound Blaster AWE64
	* Diamond MX400
	* ESS Canyon3D-based sound cards
	* ESS 1688-based sound cards
	* FIC Hi Five SC988
	* Terratec DMX

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
