LUCENT PCMCIA DRIVERS

INSTRUCTIONS:

-If you installed a previous modem driver so that your modem would work in
 Windows, you should:

1. Go to Control Panel, select Modem.
2. Remove your existing modem.
3. Go to Add.
4. Select the option called Dont Detect Modem from List.
5. Select Have Disk.
6. Select the directory which the new INF file is located in.
7. Select your modem from the list.

-If you never added a modem in Windows and this is the first time
 installation, when Windows boots up with your modem in the PCMCIA socket, a
 modem should be found by Windows.

Windows will ask you to either select a driver from it's list of modems or use
a manufacturer driver.  You should select the option called HAVE DISK and then
go to browse and select the directory where the mdmzt.inf file is located in.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
