How To Setup MPEG Pro
======================
a. Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroup 3.11 must be present.

b. Install MPEG Pro Video Software Disk 1 of 1.

How To Troubleshoot
===================
a. If MPEG cannot be played from MediaPlayer :
    - quit from Windows
    - look for file MPLAYER.INI under Windows dir
    - erase lines like :
      mpegvideo=0,...
      mcivcd=0,...
    - restart Windows and try again from MediaPlayer.
    - This is to force MediaPlayer to re-initialise its driver listings.

b. If MPEG cannot be played from MPEG Pro Application OR
    MediaPlayer, ensure the following is present :
    - in SYSTEM.INI file
      [mci]
      mpegvideo=mcimpeg.drv
      mcivcd=mcimpeg.drv
    - in SYSTEM.INI file
      [386Enh]
      DMABUFFERSIZE=056
    - in WIN.INI file
      [mci extensions]
      mpg=mpegvideo
      dat=mpegvideo
    - in WIN.INI file
      [IIT_VCP]
      mpp = < path to the MPEG Pro Application, e.g. C:\MPEG\ >

c. If video cannot be seen during MPEG playback, please check that the
    following possibilities might occur:

    1) The loopback cable (VGA Monitor Cable) or the feature connector
       is not properly connected.

    2) The Video Output Mode is being put to TV (NTSC/PAL) mode instead
       of the VGA mode when a TV is not connected.

    3) The present color key cannot be used and another color key will
       have to be selected.

Color Adjustment
=================

Note that the color of the video displayed for certain MPEG playback may not
appear correct on certain VGA cards. At such occasion, go to the Video
Adjustments option under the pull-down menu and adjust the color under the
Color Adjust option.

Video Alignment
===============

a. Depending on the system used, video alignment may go off when different
    VGA cards or resolutions are used. At such occasion, go to the Video Adjust-
    ments option under the pull-down menu and align the video accordingly under
    the Input Video Alignment option. Note that alignment can be made in the
    VGA mode as well as in the TV (NTSC/PAL) mode.

Caution: If video blanking is encountered, this is an indication that the video
         is over or under aligned. Alignment will have to be properly adjusted
         to enable video display to be normal.

Playback of VCD/CD-Is
=====================

Please ensure that the caching capability of the smartdrive is not on if user
loads the smartdrive (that is, append '/U' behind the smartdrive command in
the autoexec.bat file).

Things That Should NOT Be Done
==============================

a. Please take note : Under MPEG Pro, the STOP button is actually a CLOSE
    MPEG function. It will close down the MPEG driver. If you just want to
    stop player momentarily, use the PAUSE button instead. Otherwise, you have
    to reload the file or CD-i.
