README16.TXT Driver File Contents (UPD303D1.EXE)

These directories contain support for allowing 16 bit Windows applications to
move to Windows 95 using the DS1410D button holder. If you currently have a
16bit Windows application using sauth300.obj or sacwd300.dll you can relink
your application with the new libraries and run them under Windows 95.
The applications will go through several layers of dll's before thunking
into 32bits and accessing the new One Wire virtual device driver (vsauthd.386)
for buttons.

This process should require no code changes on your part, if your code has
the functions dowcheck, keyopen and keyclose implemented in your applications.

*****Warning*****:
You must implement the dowcheck, keyopen, and keyclose in your
application to run under Windows 95. If these functions are not in your
16 bit application you must place them in.

A relink of your application is a necessity to enable your application to work
with this new access system. This should correct any
incompatibilites experienced under Windows 95 and 16 bit Windows applications.

Two Methods of linking:

1. SACWD300.dll
	a. Remove sacwd300.lib from your applications dependency list.
	b. Add sauthint.lib to your applications dependency list.
	c. Relink the application.
	d. Distribute your application with sauthint.dll, sacw.dll sauth3x4.dll,
and sauthvxd.dll. Also, the vsauthd.386 virtual device driver
will need to be installed on the system.
Note: these dlls and .386 files must be placed in the
		.\system directory under Windows 95.

2. SAUTH300.OBJ and any other object file dependency.
	a. Remove sauth300.obj from your applications dependency list.
	b. Add s95obj.obj and s95300.lib to your dependency list.
	c. Relink the application.
	d. Distribute your application with s95300.dll, sauth3x4.dll, sauthvxd.dll, and the vsauthd.386 virtual device driver. Note: these dlls and .386 files must be placed in the .\system directory under Windows 95.
